Notes: Had my review at work this day. The review went well, but I have a few things I need to work on for the next year. Overall was very pleased.

Normally, yesterday I would have posted a weekly summary. However, due to several key projects at work coming together in a giant melting pot all at once, I’ve been ultra busy and haven’t had a moment to breath and assemble the stats for the last week. Nor have I had the chance to put together the photographic evidence page for week three. It will be coming, it just might be the weekend before it gets here. So in the mean time, I’ll give you something fun to look at!

Day 19 – Feb 22

Exercise – a couple of hours of gardening and pruning over at R’s Mom’s place.

2-3 servings of whole grains and legumes – yes
Drink at least 64 oz of water a day – no
Sleep – 8 hours or so. I put myself in bed at 8:30 and got up around 5. I slept the whole night and not any dreams to speak of. I’m still kind of tired today Oh yeah I did have a nap today too for a couple of hours the dreams left me that tired.

Thoughtful spending – spent $21.00. I bought dinner for R, his mom and myself. I was too tired to even think about operating a stove.

20 minutes of house work – nope

Day 18 – Paula Goes to the Zoo

Exercise – 6 hours of walking the Houston Zoo with a tripod, backpack and a small plastic pig

2-3 servings of whole grains and legumes – yes
Drink at least 64 oz of water a day – no
Sleep – 10+ Hours. I got a three hour nap in when I came home from the zoo and I also got 7+ hours of not very good dreams. There’s nothing less fun than dreaming that the devil is attacking you over and over again. Waking up long enough to interrupt that sleep cycle and then going back to bed and dreaming that the former Texaco building in downtown Houston got blown up by terrorists. I woke up a second time and interrupted that particular cycle, but went back to bed with a light on and a Bible in bed with me.

As wierd as that sounds, it works. I had a similar series of dreams several years ago between the time I accepted Christ and I got baptized. However, those dreams where nothing close to what I dreamt last night.

Don’t Procrastinate – Housework. Lets get real here. I hate housework and I would rather spend my time writing and taking pictures.

Day 17 – Feb 20th

Exercise – Yup – I spent 3 hours wandering the coast and the kemah boardwalk this evening taking pictures.

Thoughtful spending – $28.22. All of this was food. I went out to lunch for work with some co-workers and I stopped on the way home from my photography expedition last night at the grocery store to pick up some cheese and crackers and something to drink.

20 minutes of house work – Not even close

Spiritual
Bible Reading – yes – I’m finding it easier to get this done on the bus.
Prayer – yes – this wasn’t a written prayer, but a verbal one when I was coming home from the night shoot at the boardwalk. I’m very thankful for the photography talent that God has given me, and I especially like the fact that it distracts me from mindless eating.

Creativity
Daily Picture – Yes.
Daily Writing – Nope – totally spaced this one.

Self Care
Do something nice for me – Called R and told him that I was really not up for company. I took that time to do something I love.
Don’t Procrastinate – Called the insurance company to make sure my check got there on time. It had been just over a week and I still hadn’t seen it come through on my checking account.

Do something nice for me – Left the TV off and just chillled
Don’t Procrastinate – Transferred the money for my cell bill and check to make sure that everything has cleared the bank. One thing about this project, with the thoughtful spending part of this, I am checking my balances a lot more frequently than I probably would have in the past.
